This is a spectacular little jacket that is most likely late fifties and would have been the equivalent of numbered ready to wear at the time - demi couture if you will! Made of a grey silk tweed appearing fabric that has wonderful black braiding detailing. It has a simple box cut and all the extra details you look for in a very very high end piece - the buttons are hidden so when closed it lies perfectly and no visual break. The pockets at the front are small and subtle but each is a true albeit shallow pocket. And along the inside hem are weights so it sits exactly so! A special little jacket and a wonderful piece! Note that it is almost too small for my size 6 Judy - on the proper size girl it will sit perfectly with no buckle to the fabric near the neck as it does now. Excellent condition.
Shoulder: 15" across
Bust: 18.5" flat across the back from side seam to side seam

Fully lined in a black silk and closes with the buttons at the front. The hem is weighted and each pocket at the front is shallow but a true silk lined pocket. The color is slightly lighter then shown - it is closest to the color seen in the pocket shot.
