An absolutely chic. refined, fabulous little black dress that is so fabulous in person I cannot tell you! Laug was one of the grand Italian Couturiers and this dress shows the attention to cut and details that the house was renown for. The bodice has a nice V neck and I adore the little hand placed pockets on the front. Each sleeve has a slight puff above the cuff. The skirt has interesting, wide flat pleats that are separated by a good inch and have an inset of fabric at the top of the separation -all hand done and perfect. Everything about this dress is restrained and perfect. Add a belt and cinch in the waist to wear it looser as cut for a slight nod to the 30s. Excellent condition.
Fully lined in a hand set fine black silk lining. It closes with a back painted metal zipper and each cuff has hidden, fabric covered snaps at the wrist. Lots of hand finishes - even those darling from pockets are lined by hand and hand set onto the bodice! There are two scuffs to the silk satin under one arm - they do not show when worn.
